Dreams

We have our dreams,
We hold them dear.
But what keeps us from them
Is our own fear.

That nagging uncertainty,
That nibbles at our hearts,
Pulls us off course,
And rips our dreams apart.

Our dreams…

We stumble upon them
Time and again,
But that nagging tells us
That dreams were for then;

For the days of time,
The days of leisure,
The days of passion,
The days of pleasure.

But if we can silence the nagging
We will soon see
That without the present
Our dreams will never be;

For it is the present that holds our gift,
The present that holds our time,
The present will bring us what we desire
If only we act upon it this time.
Well, you can definitely tell that I'm no poet, but I'm vaguely proud ^_^

Good strong messge here. I like this one a lot. I'm not a poet nor a poet critic, I just like what I like. :)
