My Black Couch

I currently reside in my first ever apartment, and as such my walls are bare. As you can see, I seem to be attracted to the color black. Nonetheless, I feel that even a space with so much dark in it can still be opened up and uplifting.

That's why I chose: [link] for my contest entry. I feel that the black of the bird ties in the rest of the room while the white background opens things up. But more than that, I love the beauty of a bird in flight because I feel that it symbolizes a freedom and exhilaration that resonates with how I feel about stepping out and experiencing life on my own.
